Spatiotemporal diffusion as early warning signal for critical transitions in spatial tumor-immune system with stochasticity

Complex dynamical systems have tipping points and exhibit nonlinear dynamics. It is difficult to predict prevent the onset progression of tumors, mainly due complexity interactions between tumor growth tumor-immune cells involved. Moreover, previous models were based on influence zero-dimensional did not consider spatiotemporal fluctuation in microenvironment. We here extend model a two-dimensional system employ spatial early warning signals study spatially extended with stochasticity. On one hand, we obtain stationary probability density under mean-field approximation assumption. found that health state gets more stable than disease as noise level increases when has bistable state, goes from through region rate increases. other present diffusion coefficient indicator upcoming critical transitions. shown rising obtained snapshot data can be an effective for predicting Anticipating transitions stochasticity greatly helpful progression, which may intercept abrupt shifts state.
